Anyone have this?
Does it make the notorious EasyStore clicking sound regularly ? or is that just the full size ones

tl;dr - The drive is fine, but the price is not the best out there.

I have one I bought about 8 months ago from Best Buy at $90 and haven't had any problems with it running constantly 99% of the time since then.

But $95 is kind of steep these days, imo. I would buy new ones closer to $80, especially if I am looking for more than one. Also, as a reference, used 5TB easystore drives, also "portable" sized external hard drives, were $56 each in May 2022 and drives from that sale haven't given me any trouble either.

I don't think I've seen these for less than $90 ever, unless it was some sort of a price mistake or refurbished product.
Do you have a link to the past $56 deal? I've seen Seagate drives go for $80 range but Seagate drives are generally garbage

Using Keepa extension, April 2022 shows has several records down to $85 and scattered around 2020 and 2021, between $85 and $90.

I got mine for $85 from Best Buy back on 22 Oct 2021.

Old post on refurbished 5TB easystores for $56 (sold out within the day, iirc)
