The Winix Replacement filter S is now also on sale along side the unit it fits (C545).

Best air purifier out there and now the genuine filter is also on sale!

Bought 4 units during 2020 that I will now buy the filters for.

YMMV depending on the state, but new unit is $100 now and comes with two filters. MA offers $40 rebate on it, so essentially it is $60 for two filters and C545 unit. Two replacement filters via this deal is $70, although one wouldn't have to deal with the rebate.

Every time the unit goes on sale for $100, I sell one of my old units for $25. Then I setup the new one and use the second filter for one of my other units

There are so many and even cheaper. Its tough to know which ones would be good. A few of the reviewers complained about smell.

I had a similar problem with a refurb where the filter use timer hadn't been reset, even though it came with a new filter. You can just reset the timer with a paperclip, it doesn't actually measure when you need a new filter.

I have the same model. I just gently vacuum it after sometimes and it works just fine. I had to wash it once with dish washing soap and that was even better. I think it's not worth the money. I won't pay more than $10 for it.

Depends but from experience 6-8 months. However we have ours right next to our litterboxes and they pick up a lot of the dust. In addition we have this running 24/7 on max because of said litter boxes. YMMV

No I mean how long has the c545 been around? When was it released? If the filters are supposed to let a year, then I should be good until July 2024 with the filters that came with the unit I bought last month. If I only buy 2 of these sale filters, then I'm good until July 2026. Wondering if I should just buy like 6 years worth in case Costco doesn't sell these anymore in a few years.
