Product Name: | GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING OC Video Card, GV-R69XTGAMING OC-16GD |
Product Description: | FEATURES Powered by RDNA2 Radeon RX 6900 XT Integrated with 16GB GDDR6 256-bit memory interface WINDFORCE 3X Cooling System with alternate spinning fans Graphene nano lubricant RGB Fusion 2.0 Dual BIOS Protection metal back plate CORE CLOCK Boost Clock : up to 2285 MHz (Reference card: 2250 MHz) Game Clock* : up to 2050 MHz (Reference card: 2015 MHz) WINDFORCE 3X COOLING SYSTEM The WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features 3x 80mm unique blade fans, alternate spinning, 6 composite copper heat pipes, large copper plate direct touch GPU and 3D active fan, which together provide high efficiency heat dissipation. ALTERNATE SPINNING Alternate Spinning can reduce the turbulence of adjacent fans and increase air pressure. SMOOTH AIRFLOW GIGABYTE turns the adjacent fans in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure. 3D ACTIVE FAN The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low load or low power game. UNIQUE BLADE FAN The airflow is spilt by the triangular fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface. GRAPHENE NANO LUBRICANT Graphene nano lubricant can extend the life of fan by 2.1 times, close to the life of double ball bearing, and is quieter. LARGE COPPER PLATE & HEAT-PIPE With direct contact to the GPU and VRAM, the large copper plate combines the composite heat pipes to efficiently transfer heat generated from the interior cores to the heat sink. RGB FUSION 2.0 With 16.7M customizable color options and numerous lighting effects, you can choose lighting effects or synchronize with other AORUS devices. PROTECTION METAL BACK PLATE The metal back plate not only provides an aesthetical shape, but also enhances the structure of the graphics card to provide complete protection. DUAL BIOS Silent mode will provide a quieter experience. The mode switch requires a reboot to take effect. The default is OC mode. EXTREME DURABILITY AND OVERCLOCKING |

Same... Had so many issues with 5700xt, 3080ti everything worked flawlessly
they are dropping prices
The fact I got this exact card for 730 a month ago should tell people that these aren't going much lower. I've said it a million times, they aren't going to destroy their market by selling top tier cards at huge discounts they'd rather toss them in the trash then ruin the potential for the next gen.

I suspect they may have to trash next gen too because the economy will get worse before it gets better. They ordered too many chips thinking mining and gaming would continue to thrive side by side. This is what they are looking at down the road and getting nervous about... having to answer to share holders.
While I agree amds drivers with the 5700xt at launch were atrocious the 3080ti seems to be the most complained about card on tomshardware forums lately.

also it was WITH A REBATE
this is pricing without a rebate
What's complained about? Everything seems to works fine for me.
Like others here, I've had better luck with NVidia cards over the years, so when I saw my Microcenter had an open box EVGA 3080TI for $675, I jumped. It may get a hundred or more dollars cheaper over the next months - IDK. But 4K/60 at max settings is here now for me and it's great. The 6900XT trades blows and is also a great card for this money.

Someone else said it was the same price because for this specific card (the Gigabyte brand) it was the same price last week with a rebate. But other 6900XTs were under 700. I bought this EXACT card (and posted a slick deal about it) a month ago for $730. That's a 4% decrease in price over a month. These are not dropping like they were in the beginning of the summer. They are selling and they aren't making any new ones, so if you wait you'll run the risk of not being able to get one for the reward of saving a tiny bit of money.
Now the question here really comes down to price/performance of the next gen. I don't believe you're going to see a $700 chip perform better than the 6900XT. I think msrp to msrp you're going to see much better performance. I think you may see $700 gpus perform the same as the 6900XT in games but worse in productivity. I personally am not willing to spend $1000 on a GPU so $730 was a good spot for me, especially since I've gotten to enjoy the computer for the last month and everything else I've purchased for the computer thanks to primeday sales (and Newegg Fantastech sales) is more expensive now then it was when I bought it.
Did you ever get your rebate yet? I still have not gotten mine, and I mailed in the form immediately on the day I got the GPU.

Yeah, all that website keeps saying is "We have received your submission and it is being processed." since July 4, 2022 with no further details or specific updates.
I mailed it in on June 23, 2022 and it says 6-8 weeks to process, so it's already been 7 weeks since I mailed it and 6 weeks since they said they received it. These mail-in rebates are brutal. They're probably hoping we forget about them and just eat the cost in the end.
Now the price came down $20-30 from what I will end up paying, without the hassle of a mail-in rebate. Maybe 🤔 I should have waited for this deal instead.
