For those getting the "oops" error: make sure you're logged in definitively. For whatever reason, it was showing me as logged in, but kept trying to take me to the add payment page and glitching out thinking I wasn't logged in. Try clicking continue, logging out and in and then back up your browser and click Add Venmo again.

If this helps no one, fine, but I've tried randomly when I see this post bump for 2 days now, and it finally worked.

Amazingly worked for me (all the recent Amex / Citi / Chase ones didn't), followed the process in the post on page 2 or 3… link above, Amazon app, then venmo app
