Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Got it...

I have two lines on the Essentials 55+ plan. Oldest line is 1 year 3 months. 2nd line I have added and dropped a few times.

Tried chat first thing this morning - No dice - Rep had no clue what the promo was and said I wasn't eligible.

Then I called in and told the rep that I wanted to add the line and gave her the promo code. She checked and said I was eligible. She added the line and the sim card is on the way with 2-day shipping.

Then I went to a T-Mobile store to see if I could get a sim card with my new number so I could use it right away, but they said I had to wait until the current sim card shipped because thats when the number is generated. I did have them check my account and they showed me that the promo was applied.

I have done this on 2 of my lines successfully.
Is there a time length that you have to keep the lines in order to move a paid line to your free line? Like if you kept your paid line for X months and no change to your free line for X months, then moving the paid line phone number to the free line after 13 months, etc..

I know there were several mentions in this post where people have lost their free lines from removing a line, so it seems that everyone's situation is different.

Took advantage of an equivalent offer about 6 years ago and they've never tried any funny business with changing it. It's just the mandatory taxes on a line (something like $3/mo) and works exactly the same as our other lines with regards to eligibility for discounted phones when you take monthly credits over X months.

Really happy we took advantage of this offers years ago and recommend going for it if anyone is skeptical about any strings attached.

I have 2 paid lines and 1 free. If I add this new free line, can I cancel one of the paid ones after 12 months and switch to the free one?
I just added. After 12 months you can cancel one of the lines, but she said that I can't transfer a number from one of my other lines. So you could cancel and start using the new line as your phone number, but not transfer over a number…according to my service rep chat.

"2 lines one plan all in promo"
(2 lines for $80 + 1 free line - 10% discount per paid line with less than 2gb usage)

Has anyone with this plan been able to get a free line?

Thanks.

P.S. talking to reps may be a waste of time. If reps are offshore, high chance mistakes will be made.

That plan never gets any of these deals... it's too good and they want us off of it
We are on FRLTUL2LP (2/$100 which becomes 2/$80 with insider hookup discount from 2017 and This One's On Us free 3rd line) and forever stuck with 3 lines. According to the wiki in this thread from 2020, we can switch to FRLTULF2 (2/$120 with Netflix, which becomes 2/$96 with insider hookup).

But all posts suggest not to use chat to do this switch, since they will just switch you to Magenta. They suggest contacting TForce via Twitter. Most recently someone suggested doing it 2 months ago on Reddit [reddit.com], so I'm asking on Twitter if they can do it for me.

My family didn't subscribe to Netflix back in 2020, so staying on the old plan made more sense (and forgoing any free lines). Now that we do, it makes sense to start adding these free lines, especially since my eldest will be a teenager soon.

Still on TMO ONE All In Promo plan (FRLTUL2LP) which is never eligible for free lines?

This is a great (grandfathered) plan as it gives you 2 lines for $100 or $80 after 2GB data limit kickback on the 2 lines (or even less if you have the plan with T-Mobile employee hookup code). Plus with the additional promotion you get HD streaming, 10GB full speed hotspot and twice the international data speed (256kbs instead of 128kbs).

BUT... this account only supports 3 lines and unless you got the one free line they offered once under this plan you never got and will never get a free line with the plan.

But if the plan works out for you can move to another T-Mobile One plan (FRLTULF2) which cost a little bit more (2 lines for $120 or $100 after kickbacks) but you will be eligible for the free line and hopefully for additional free lines in the future (the plan supports up to 8 lines in total). The reps are also be able to move the kickback and ONE Plus promotion to the new plan. They might not do it immediately for the new free line but this is also possible and might need another try.
Plus the new plan includes $10.99 Netflix Standard HD account contribution which also needs to be factored in as a bonus.

If you want to get out of that hole and make the change here is my conversation regarding the plan change with T-Force on Twitter:
https://slickdeals.net/f/14713250-t-mobile-customers-add-a-line-for-free-starting-december-20th?p=144023981#post144023981

Then I called 611 at night and asked the overseas team to also add the promo add-ons to new free line so that all lines on the account have the ONE Plus promo (no kickback on the free line of course):
https://slickdeals.net/f/14713250-t-mobile-customers-add-a-line-for-free-starting-december-20th?p=144031265#post144031265

Summary of the process and overview of changes:
https://slickdeals.net/f/14713250-t-mobile-customers-add-a-line-for-free-starting-december-20th?p=144039584#post144039584

As I wrote it needs some time and the right reps to make it happen as I struggled with reps in the past to switch to a different T-Mobile One plan and not ending up with a Magenta plan and losing the kickback and One Plus promotion.
Good luck!

Did you check again ? Seem like the updates are slow due to so many accounts getting this line added.
As per Redditors, this is normal when going from 8 to 9 lines. This triggers a plan change which takes time for their system to update. I also confirmed with T-Force and they see the missing promos from their end.

I was a sprint customer and was just recently officially switched over to TMobile billing about a month ago. I got into chat through the app and she said I qualified. 7 paid lines and one free now.
