I bought two last spring for $210 each - without heatsinks. You can thank you me for making them so much money that they decided to lower the prices Wink
All semiconductors are dropping in price right now except for the stubborn ass Nvidia
Make sure you update the firmware on this drive. From PCGAMER. "The drives were failing by suddenly becoming locked into read-only mode which effectively makes the SSD completely unusable as it can no longer be written to. As your OS is constantly making read/write actions as part of its general process, that means your system just will not start."

Also if you plan on using this drive in your PS5, make sure you a third-party Heat sink. They're readily available on Amazon for $10-$15.

Edit: The 2TB version with Heat sink is the same price. The 1TB version with the Heat sink is $104.99.

Don't know how these continue to drop. I thought the bottom line these would ever hit was $160.

I bought a WD SN850 2tb for $360 when they first released. I feel the pain every day when I see the price drop on these.

where's the link with heatsink?

This link should work - https://www.samsung.com/us/comput...-v8p2t0cw/ If not, just search for 980 Pro and keep scrolling. It should be near the bottom of the page.
