FYI: 60Hz Refresh rate.
It's more of a movie watching tv. If you want cheap and gaming, the B series has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports
Unless you're gaming, 99% of people wont be able to tell the difference on an oled panel. I have both the A2, B2 and C1. A2 looks just as awesome, perfect for a bedroom etc. I dont notice any judder.

I got this cheaper for BF and use it for a computer monitor for the studio. It serves its purpose. Highly recommend it but certainly no good for 4K gaming

If something is pre recorded at 24 frames a second , how do you think your TV manages to make it play at 120 frames? By speeding it up and adding in extra frames.

120hz displays are the absolute biggest marketing gimmick.

Cool story. Huge difference between a native 120hz panel and one thats 60 and simulates 120hz.

24fps (mostly movies) has better playback on a 120hz panel than a 60hz panel.

The main drawback for OLED (at least my LG A1 OLED) is anything filmed with a 'shaky' cam is nauseating, to me at least. Yes, there are settings to help this but it never fully goes away. I'm watching The Last of Us right now streamed with the native HBO MAX app, and there are scenes that I have to pause/look away because the shaky cam is so bad on my A1. Slow panning scenes are kind of annoying as well, but nowhere near the level of noticeable as the shaky cam scenes. I have a 65" A1. I bought it because all of the reviews said it was fine for movies and TV, which it is, if you aren't bothered by the judder. For 95% of my viewing I am happy with the A1, and I'm not sure how the 120hz panels are in the same scenario so I can't comment if a 120hz TV would be better for the judder/shaky cam problem. I will add that I believe Sony is said to do a better job with dejudder than LG, but alas I do not have a Sony OLED to compare against.

If I had it to do over again I would have bought a 55" because it was cheaper and I think the fact that the 65" takes up more of my field of view adds to the nausea inducing effects. I went 60hz vs 120hz at the time because I wanted to see the dark-darks of OLED without completely breaking the bank.
Yeah...I have a curved 55" OLED from 2015 and there is something that I haven't been able to put my eyes on (no pun intended), but it's probably a lot of what you mentioned. Something is just off enough to detract from the otherwise glorious picture.

Please explain how a television quadruples the frame rate of a pre-recorded movie and adds in extra frames without simulating the picture. I'm more than happy to learn.

I picked this up for 570 back at the end of October. This tv is awesome in my bedroom. No I do not game and yes my bedroom is dark but this tv is awesome. I also watched the Last of Us last night and did not notice any problematic effects. I like it better than my Master Class Sony and my Mini-LED TCL.

Same TV, same place, same opinion. I'm curious what series is your TCL and what do you like/dislike about it? I was considering one of the two most recent tcls or a Hisense UH8 for one of my brighter rooms...

A tv's refresh rate is static, so a 40hz input repeats frames 3x (120/3=40).

When something isnt fuller divisible you get judder since the screen has to alternate how long to repeat each frame (ie 24 /60 gives judder, but not 24/120)

Need Dark room, not brightness around 300 in SDR and 500-550 in HDR. By comparison Lg C2 gets around 700-800 nits and G2 900-1000 nits brightness.

The C2 actually gets over 1,000 now, as long as you have a newer one and it's at least 55". Every second quarter 55" and bigger C2 was shipped with an EX Evo panel, which increases the brightness even further. The smaller models have an EX, but it doesn't get the brightness increase. I only just learned about this. For anyone wondering how to check their C2, go to the Pixel Refresh option. If it tells you it takes about 10 minutes, you have an EX panel.

You're a fool. 120hz is amazing for gaming.

Quote from Drawconclusion :
People bagging on this TV obviously do not have it. I bought this the last time it was listed and I've been thoroughly impressed, both screen and ui. Now for comparison, I do have the Sony 65" A80 and it has definitely kept pace with the Sony. For full transparency, this 48" is in an office with 1 window and I do not use this one for gaming. For anyone wanting an inexpensive OLED and is okay with a 48", I cannot imagine you regretting it.
Another perspective: I bought this at BB during black friday 2022 promotion and returned it a month later. The screen was too dim for my preferences (comparing to our old Sony lcd) and the interface with "magic" remote drove me crazy. Glad you enjoy it but some of the critique is valid. It's not for everyone.

This or a Sony x85k then for a bright office PC usage and occasional TV/movie watching, 43 inch. Or wait until the C2 or q90b come down in price? Looking to spend $5-600..
