That's the right choice
All the reviews and ppl in this thread mentioned you can watch movies from 11 to 13 hours on this thing
And as for gaming

This YouTube link shows it performing really well
Please link another 13 inch Ultrabook that can handle games better
I'm not buying this Ultrabook so I can game 100% of the time. That's what my gaming desktops and laptops are for. I need the best gaming Ultrabook, and this is it until they manage to fit a 3060 level gpu in there.
As a millennial who thought a 10lb gaming laptop was portable, this thing is a miracle. I've waited two decades for something like this
Thanks for providing this link. The YouTube video shows testing at 1080p, which is not the native resolution of 1200p. Also, some of the games struggle to stay at 60 fps and that's before any thermal throttling, which will happen as this thing heats up quick. Furthermore, the latency is 20+ms, ruling out any pvp gaming.
I'm not saying this is a bad laptop. The form factor is amazing and performs well for productivity. However, its capabilities are incredibly exaggerated.
you are 100% correct. but if you saw who i was quoting, he/she plans on connecting a monitor and keyboard and having it stationary 95% of the time. so if he/she can justify the 5% to getting this laptop then go for it. I don't think it worth getting this laptop if you plan on not using it as a portable laptop.

The battery life can be short if you don't put it in the eco mode.
The only negative I can really say about this laptop, and I probably would NOT have gotten it had I known, was that for the laptop to run at full speed w/ gfx, it has to be connected to their proprietary 100W charging brick.
If I connect anything else w/ PD to it, even if it's rated 130W, the laptop will only run / charge at 60W max. So if I play some light gaming like Dota 2, the laptop will still run down on the battery even when it's plugged into a non-Asus charger, although at a pretty slow rate, like 10% per hour at most.
Just a FYI
Yeah forgot to mention that too, that is the biggest deal breaker for me as well, since I have a 150w gan anker charger that I got specifically for this but I can't juice it up at 100w, Asus did an apple on this one. Funny because the zenbook flip 15 oled does charge at 100w over the anker charger but not this one. Still a great ultrabook but really bad artificial limitation.
the 4050 chip, on the other hand, is the one to get. the new ADA Lovelace architecture is a whole lot more power efficient that at 80W, it compete with 120W 3060 and 3070.

What are the 23" 2k 160hz monitors you have?
I use it as a portable gaming machine when I travel for work with an Razer Orochi and I bring my pen with me in case I want to sketch stuff. Makes a hell of a Drawful machine haha but kind of a waste cost wise for that.
