Hold the line for $150 and 2TB for $80
$10 cheaper than last month's FP deals. Crazy how storage prices keep falling (and I'm here for it)!
Crucial P3 2TB was sold for around $50 in bestbuy couple days ago while it sold out quickly.

What's the time frame you can request the difference? 14 days? A month?

I wonder what the price will be in a month if so
as long as you got a screenshot of it (they usually ask if they can email you, you reply with the screenshot, then they do a price adjustment) then I'd say up through your 30 day return period for sure, maybe even a few extra days past that.

they're really reasonable if you're just a decent human to them.

also, not for nothing, but I let them give me the price adjustment as a credit instead of a refund (I'm going to spend it there anyways), and successfully talked them into an extra 10$ in credit "for the inconvenience" both times. so make sure you try that, just word it like

"thanks so much I appreciate all you do. hey, just curious, but do you guys offer any thing additional add an incentive to take the Amazon credit? like it's pretty inconvenient for me to get the refund like that, but, if you guys threw in an extra 10 bucks for my time, id gladly accept the refund directly with Amazon credit"

both times, twice in the last 3 days, theyve given it to me. so that's now $170 I'm down to for overall investment.

not bad.

SSD Endurance (TBW): 800TB

Should pay more $10 to get the MP34, it has DRAM, TLC & last long endurance (2400 TB)

Would this be better than the 4TB Crucial MX500 to use with an enclosure via USB C?

Primarily concerned about longevity, not speed or price.

Thank you.

Avoid QLC, get TLC instead. QLC can be considered if it's priced 50% less than TLC.

Wow! I never got any refund for price difference worked with Amazon. They always asked me to return it and order again at a lower price if available.

Are there any tricks to achieve that?

my opinion?

buy it now.

I bought one for 224 last week, and each time they go lower, I just go into Amazon and message the customer service and tell em and they refund the difference.

already happened twice with 0 issues.

that way you get your storage now, and don't have to worry about "holding the line for $150"

-- not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm just saying, might as well have your cake and eat it, too.

cheers.
the amazing thing is they refund you and twice at it. Lol. So strict about to the point where they would rather lose money on returns than price adjust.

It is lies. Might as well say it doesn't work, get a refund and buy it.

If I understand you correctly, it stills needs to be returned (when it doesn't work) to get a refund right? Or am I missing something here 🧐

Yo, I know this is late, but, still-- They absolutely do. You just can't be mean, aggressive, or a pushover. Stand your ground, explain to them (in detail) why it caused an inconvenience to you. I don't understand how this is a hard concept-- if Amazon isn't doing this for you on EVERY purchase, then your methodology is the problem. There's a combination to every lock, you just gotta figure out the right order of words to say to get what you want.

Some advice that may help:

1. Keep it simple. I cant stress that enough. Less is more. Do not offer additional info unless they ask, and when they do, give as little as is possibly needed. No need to talk yourself out of a refund.
2. Be nice! These guys get jerks yelling at them all day long. Just be decent; ask how their day is going, say please and thank you, you know... don't be a jerk.
3. Be firm, but not aggressive. You want to stand your ground. After they offer a BS apology and 5 bucks, tell them "I know you're just trying to do your job, and I appreciate that, I really do, but, with how this has unfolded, and when reading your policies, it seems to me that there's a better resolution that can be put in place that will make both of us happy. Do you have a supervisor I could speak with? It's nothing against you, and I fully understand they may say the same thing you are, but I would beat myself up later about it if I didn't at least try to ask".
4. Don't curse. Just don't. That's how they can hang up on you. If you don't, they can't hang up. I once stayed in dead silence on the phone for 11 minutes just for a 10$ discount the guy didn't want to give to me. Kept saying no no no, then after 11 min of silence he goes "I've added a $10.00 courtesy credit to your account is there anything else I can assist you with?". So keep a cool head.
5. Be specific-- if they're not giving what you want, ASK for it!! You don't G-E-T unless you A-S-K. Something my grandpa used to say that is so true it should be a well known saying.
6. Threaten to cancel, threaten to stop buying from them. It sounds petty, but especially if you spend a lot on Amazon, throw that in their face. "You know, I spend a lot of money with your company. Thousands each year. And, not for nothin', but it sure doesn't feel like you're treating this matter with that in mind. I'm not asking for anything crazy, here, just some common-sense, level-headed customer service to help me get this bad taste out of my mouth." -- it's worked for me a lot.

Maybe that will help you out. Because, like I said, if "amazon hasn't done this for years" for you, then the problem is definitely how YOU'RE going about it, because it's never stopped working for me.

Again, not trying to be a jerk about this, I'm just saying; I know what they give me, and I know what I do to get it. So someone saying contrary to that, when you don't even know me or who I am, what I do, etc... seems just silly, and needed to be corrected, even if it's a weeks-old expired deal posting.

Hope you're able to adapt to whatever new, crazy, only-for-you customer service Amazon has apparently rolled out for your account.
