Also here it is for over a dollar cheaper at Walmart. Why is their deal over a dollar more? My bet is because SD gets that extra money.

Penn don't work well for recreational tennis Wilson's extra duty are always better for less than $3/pack @Walmarts they last longer
100% agree here. I've been playing exclusively with the Wilson extra duty for 10+ years and they're fantastic. I will say this last case seemed to be a slight dip in quality, but maybe I just got unlucky with it.

Yes. I love Wilson's....Penns have sucked lately. No pop to them.

tennis balls are not getting cheaper.
overall quality is getting lower across the board.

Penn has always been the "cheaper" brand, but the quality on the typical can is OK

Wilson US Opens are the balls of choice.

Now, which is better overall? If you have serious making the pro tour aspirations and money is no object, use Babolat gut strings ($55) instead of Klip ($31), use Luxilon poly ($20) instead of Kirshbaum poly ($7) and only hit with Wilson US Opens. (BTW - $120.00 per case right now, so a 1/2 case is $60.00) vs. $30.00 per 1/2 case for these Penns) - Oh, I forgot, add $10.00 for shipping for the case of Wilsons)

If you are like the other 99.99% of us, you buy the Penns, tolerate the very occasional bad can
(I have bought about 5 of these 1/2 cases over the last few years and have gotten only one "bad" can, and it wasn't 100% bad, but just felt and sounded a little "off")

They are fine, not perfect, but fine. And Wilson US Opens are definitely not twice as good.

$47.99 where I'm located which comes out to $0.80 / ball. This deal for 12 cans/36 balls comes out to $0.83 / ball.

Not sure where all these quality concerns are coming from, guess I've been lucky. Have lived off the Costco Penn's and they've never let me down.

Wilsons have more pop than the Penn's but don't last as long in my experience.

Fewer people in America are playing tennis because like futbol the rest of the world is better at it. We Americans have to be superior in every way. Tennis warehouse opened in Europe. Figures. Yet Americans are the worlds most important consumers barr none.

Bro, all those are flat ball, hence the owner didn't bother to collect it.
But I'm with you, for a non-player everything looks the same.
