Promotional Offer Details

Offer Valid 02/01/2023 - 06/30/2023. Get $600 off when you trade-in and purchase a Samsung Galaxy S23 Series device, plus additional trade-in value based on the condition of your device. Restrictions apply. Spectrum Internet required. Auto-pay required. Visit spectrum.com/mobile/tradein for details.
Trade-in Criteria: As long as your trade-in is worth $1, the $600 promo will apply during the trade-in credit check.
1. Is the device free of major physical damage? No is okay. Don't push your luck here too much, don't try to trade-in 80% of a phone or something that been ran over twice by a car.
2. Does the device have a functional screen that is free of cracks and other damage? No is okay
3. Is the device free from liquid damage? Yes is mandatory
4. Does the device power on? Yes is mandatory
Trade-in IMEIs: When testing to see if your phone is accepted for trade-in, any random fingermashed IMEI can be used as long as it starts with a 3. If you want to double check, 356742465815274 is a random IMEI that works. (Not true, just had this method show my phone as rejected when it DID accept the real IMEI)
Trade-in phone: The list of accepted phones differ between carriers, so if you don't find your phone on the list, check the original or "other" carrier. Also, the link of accepted Samsung phones is huge (may be all A, S, and Note series), even some international only models are accepted.

I did this promotion 2 months ago. Traded in my Note 9 for $27 and Iphone 8 plus for $12. Note 9 was the oldest they will take back then and so was the iPhone 8. I had a Note 4 that didn't qualify. I had to buy the IPhone 8 for $90 to do the trade in.
I went in the store and paid in full for S23 Ultra and S23. Contrary to FatGuyPoolShark, I like many people, had to send in our trade-in to Assurant. You'll be lucky if the store accept your trade in. It has to be sent in.
Anyways, I have Spectrum internet. There was a promotion of buy one unlimited line for $29.99 and you'll get one line free. For those that didn't get this promotion in their email, ASK THE REP at the store if you can get that promo. Chances are, they'll say yes.
I was able to unlock my 2 phones within one week. I called and asked if they could unlock them and the agent unlocked them while I was on the phone with her. You might want to say you're traveling and needed them unlock.
Assurance emailed me and says my phones were accepted as trade-ins. But instead of $27 for my Note 9, they only going to pay me $15 reason being it was late. It wasn't late, as they received it within the 30 days required to mail in.
I have a credit of $1227 with Spectrum right now. I'm too busy to call and ask them to credit them back to my credit card. It shouldn't be a problem though.
Feel free to ask any questions if need to.

I ported out my 2 numbers on 06/17, my bill cycle ends on 05/18. New cycle started today means 06/19.
I got email saying I need make payment of $29.99 even though they were already ported out. I had to call them to deactivate the lines. Not sure if this happened to anyone else.
On THEIR webpage I can see that they received the trade in on 6/16/23 but they are telling me it was never received and they don't have any information about it (and they tell me that I'm lying when I say I can see it on their own website.)
Any tips or suggestions?

I have not seen the credit yet as off today.

But up to now, I have not seen any progress regarding the assessment. Is it any way to check with Assurant?

btw, that online rep had no problem unlocking my samsung S23 even though I have been with spectrum mobile for less than 2 months.
Anyway, I remember reading on spectrum web site about the credit is supposed to be put back to the original method of payment like my credit card. I went back and found the record of that
https://www.spectrum.ne
"If you accept the offer, you'll either receive a credit in the form of a refund to the same credit card you used to purchase the new device or it can be applied to your Device Payment Plan"
Today, I chatted again with Spectrum and I was just asking about my credit and the rep told me I needed to be transferred to the mobile department. The person at mobile department had no problem refund me the $600 credit to my credit card. There you have it. :-)
I will update this if I do not get the credit refunded to my credit card :-)
I still have the line open and it looks like I will need to stay with them for the rest of this second billing cycle.
