I'm pretty close to giving up on upgrading GPU all together. For the current gen GPUs, high end too expensive, low and mid-tiers crappy value (Radeon 7600 / Geforce 4600).

As someone who grew up on PC gaming, I'm happy with playing games on consoles these days. However I might get a mini-PC based on the new Ryzen 7940HS.

Why don't you just buy 2nd hand? I think that should get you closer to your needs and budget. Make sure to do your due diligence, if you want to play around with VR for example...only choose is to go green team...if you wanna build a hackintosh then go Red team....etc.

Second hand is a big nope for me. Not worth the risk so I stay away from used hardware. I don't even buy used games.

I submitted a low price request some time back to Amazon. They matched it, in case you are more comfortable buying it at Amazon or want to use their card for 5% back.

they will sell out before that happens. they have absolutely no reason to lower the price anymore, nothing can compete with it at the price point.

2 years on a 5700xt and now 2 years on a 6900xt and never had a game or system crash in that time with either card.
