Acer Nitro XV272U Vbmiiprx 27" Zero-Frame WQHD 2560 x 1440 Gaming Monitor | AMD FreeSync Premium | Agile-Splendor IPS | Overclock to 170Hz | Up to 0.5ms | 95% DCI-P3 | 1 x Display Port & 2 x HDMI 2.0 https://a.co/d/cqbz3gK
It's a hard to decision since I bought the XZ272U Vbiiphx from Costco for $160. It's a 27" VA QHD 165hz monitor with a 1500R curve.
Things I don't like : absolute garbage buttons for the monitor functions. And the bright as hell blue LED on the bottom that blinks forever when its in sleep mode. Can't turn off with this model.
The panel itself with viewing angles are fine. Gaming looks good too but for work it's only ok. It looked a bit washed out and window movement smears kinda. All in all it's ok. Especially for the price.
What I liked about my old LG 32" VA 144hz QHD - also Costco and had the USB hub. The joystick button on the bottom is amazing. So hard to give that up. Brightness was eye searing and colors looked great. I forget the model but its not sold anymore. It had the wow factor with smoothness for work stuff.
LG has some nice touches that give it a more premium user experience. My old 32" had USB which allowed you to install software to control stuff through windows as well.
If you're having a hard time deciding between Acer and LG and specs are very similar, I think LG just feels better overall.

Both Costco monitors are average. Spend the extra $$ and get the Acer I mentioned earlier for $250.
I'd never buy an Acer again. The blinking bright as hell LED, when you have 3 of them doing that it's annoying. If I'm in the same room and reading a book when they go on standby it's enough to want to chuck them out a window and I couldn't disable that. I imagine they have the same button config as well which is 5 buttons underneath that don't exactly line up with the OSD. I was trying to use a steamdeck on one and switching inputs was a chore and then it would swap back to my desktop constantly if I walked away for a few minutes (steamdeck going into sleep mode). Pass.
Well maybe you should check out a newer version like the one I'm referring to. Not at all what you're describing. Or buy a lesser rated product like the LG. That's cool.
