Crazy good price. Makes Nvidia pretty stupid unless you need outside of gaming purposes. The 6950 XT wrecks the 4070 in raster and even ties in with RT on. Rapid FSR adoption.

Y'know, as much as I want to agree with you to some degree I just can't get over how disingenuous you're being.

This card - which I too think should be ~$500 - was available for about that price...ONCE...at like 5 a.m...for a severely limited timeframe. So...just, no.

I think it may only hit that low when they're ready for a final clearing out, if ever. That said, if you can snag one for ~$550 out the door with a freebie game you actually want I'd call it a win.

Nvidia could've had a contender with the 4070s but stripped them down so brutally I can't help but feel they're a legitimate rip-off compared to this card, YMMV...

Anyone running one of these with an 800W PSU? I really don't want to swap PSU, but these cards are really tempting. Having to spend another 100 bucks On a psu kills the deal for me.

I Just ordered the Red devil 6950xt yesterday and am going to attempt to run it on my 850w psu. If you really don't want to upgrade psu maybe consider the 6800XT?

I tried my two 850W PSU both made a coil whine badly. I used thermaltake RGB gold and Gamemax gold. I tested it with Bequiet 1200w platinum very less coil whine. I tested it on 5800x with x570 board and 12700k with z690.

I recommend 1000w psu,.

it should be fine but I was in the same position, too lazy to swap psus (I have a evga 750w)..and got the 6800xt instead. Although I think it could power the 6950xt ok

Also this isnt that great of a deal, unless you ONLY care about pure rasterization performance. The 4070 has been $540 in the last month, uses substantially less power, has far better ray tracing, can do DLSS, has AV1 encoding and has AI cores, though it is around 10% slower in rasterization, so its not all better, but IMO id rather have a 4070 than a 6950xt, but that is personal preference.
4070 is junk. Dlss is a gimmick. The end

I am running it with evga g2 750. At default settings GPU pulls around 300w in gaming and PSU is able to support it. I have reduced the power limit to -9, so it does not reach the 2600 clock but stays at 2400 and it pulls 270W in gaming. No system crashes, I have had it for over a month.
