Crazy good price. Makes Nvidia pretty stupid unless you need outside of gaming purposes. The 6950 XT wrecks the 4070 in raster and even ties in with RT on. Rapid FSR adoption.

Y'know, as much as I want to agree with you to some degree I just can't get over how disingenuous you're being.

This card - which I too think should be ~$500 - was available for about that price...ONCE...at like 5 a.m...for a severely limited timeframe. So...just, no.

I think it may only hit that low when they're ready for a final clearing out, if ever. That said, if you can snag one for ~$550 out the door with a freebie game you actually want I'd call it a win.

Nvidia could've had a contender with the 4070s but stripped them down so brutally I can't help but feel they're a legitimate rip-off compared to this card, YMMV...

Youre ignoring the other prices I listed though. People had chances to snag this at $566 and $580 recently. The whole point I was making was that the OP's $569 definitely is not the best price ever. Also if someone was willing to pay $10 more, you could get 6950XT's for $580ish for months now without waiting for special sales.

I'm not convinced. I've been watching these cards for months. Yes they've dropped. And will drop again. But right now there's only 2 brands of 6950 below $600. So, sure it's the new norm that they drop every once in awhile. But if you wait and miss the deal, you might have to wait another month before it drops again. OR maybe these start dropping harder. Just depends if you can hole the lime or not.

Personally I want closer to $500 + a PC game with it. But I can wait.

Running this exact GPU on an FSP 850W (HPT2-850M) PSU and it runs like a charm. Never heard coil whine and this is with a Meshify 2 case. CPU is an i7-12700K + 32 GB DDR5-6400 + 2x SSDs. Fans are all at 400 RPM.

I think once it became apparent ngreedia would talk up AI and not drop prices on 4080 and 4090s.. even these csrds bumped back up 10%... where ngreedia leads amDeceptive follows in retail

I have the 6900xtxh version of this card. It is great at this price if you need one just buy it.

Paid a lot more for the 6900 and it was hundreds of dollars off. This price is insane for what you get.

This is slightly better, but doubt it would be enough of a difference to be worth the money, or time in swapping. The extra vram is nice, but unless you are modding with huge textures probably won't be needed for a while.

Do y'all think this price will be beat during fantastech or prime day? I want one very soon, I don't want to miss out on those lower price nor miss out on buying one before they're discount new. But with the sales days so close, I'm conflicted.

The 7900xtx and 7900xt high junction temperatures were due to faulty vapor chambers. There was a pretty big batch of cards that were sent out with dry vapor chambers that caused these cooling issues. The company AMD pays to handle their warranties was pretty sh*tty about the whole ordeal, but AMD eventually replaced all the cards.
