As to why the RMA after a year, I signed up for WoW for a month to play Dragonflight, and in that time while playing the game with HDR, the minimap ring from an addon I used had burned in and created an obvious circle in the top right of my screen. It wasn't super noticeable unless there were solid colors behind it, but it was there. It took about a 2 hour long chat with plenty of photos and back and forth, but it was resolved, and it took only like 2 days for the new monitor to arrive, so ~3 months should be plenty.
I don't know if I just got lucky with the panel replacement, because I can assure you this monitor they sent was absolutely brand-new, never been used. It came with all the accessories in new packaging as well.
If you want to plug your console on your monitor, this is better than the Alienware.
Sure but the Alienware has a much better warranty and Samsung has a terrible reputation with their QA and service. I wouldn't buy one personally.
That is true. But it is strange that Alienware gives more panel support when the panel is built by Samsung. How is it Dell have more trust in Samsung panel than Samsung themselves
