Out of curiosity, what issue do you have against Google TV? And do you prefer TCL's Roku platform?
Google TV has always been fine for me other than only having 8GB of storage on some devices lol. I'm a power user.

When Google TV OS first started to come around, it was sluggish and extremely slow. Roku versions are extremely user friendly and very responsive. It might have gotten better but still perfer roku os.
Performance has definitely changed since the beginning

I like Google better. Roku is clunky and the remotes usually suck, IMO.
I believe it's supposed to be the replacement for the 5-Series though
The Q7 is $150 more with local dimming and has native 120. Doesn't seem too bad for the 55"
Is miniled worth it for double the price though?
