But rumors are picking up for a Switch 2, which I expect will come sometime in 2024. I should probably just start using an external battery pack and save my money until then.

But damn, I've been waiting for this deal these last two days, it finally comes, and I frickin' missed it! Ugh!

Eh, I guess if you're happy with the current performance of the Switch. Also if you play mainly on handheld the upgrades may be worth it. I was hoping when they announced the OLED it would at least include a refreshed chipset or something. I'm content to wait for a true successor though with better performance, just hoping they don't do something incredibly stupid like make the Switch 2 incompatible with previous titles.
