In 4 months, BF deals might be better, but one can wait forever!
EDIT: If you don't like Newegg, Amazon [a.co] is has it (through Microcenter) for $39.99 with free overnight shipping for Prime people (at least for me). You need to click "See All Buying Options" button on the right and look for $39.99 New from Microcenter.
for 2TB: SN850X ATL is $90 vs $70 for 670p
$20 is a 30% bump in price
for 1TB: $37 vs $55, $18 diff is 50% price bump
the % differences are so big you really have to justify the upgrade. Is this a high performance gaming machine w/ gen4? Sure, sn850x. Low powered Celeron minipc with only gen3 support or for use in an external SSD enclosure? Hard to beat this.

Moderately dressed man walks into Home Depot:
- I would like this $13.00 sack of 50 qts of dirt."
- (Home Depot worker looks around nervously) I think this $10.00 sack of 50 qts of dirt is more your speed."
- But I want the $13.00 bag.
- Sir, that's a 30% difference in price.
- So?
- Two totally different leagues. You literally can't even compare this sack of dirt to that sack of dirt. 100% incomparable. So, unless you drive a lambo…
Moderately dressed man pulls out a CRISP $50 bill.
- President Grant says otherwise.
(Worker's eyes bulge out of her head)
6 months ago I could buy a reputable 700W PSU (EVGA 700 BQ) for $50. Good luck with that now
I bought a 1tb 970 evo plus a year ago for more than the 2tb are selling today, its just the way it works.

This Intel drive would probably have a longer time to failure, despite being rated lower. But unless you have some use case where you are constantly reading/writing data, how often to SSDs fail?
Just something to consider. But remember, your PC needs to be new enough to take advantage of Gen4.
like ppl have said, there are better deals when you consider all the specs.
black friday is coming

Percent difference is only a factor if it's something you buy all the time, in bulk, or high cost items. If you had to build 1000 PCs then sure it would be a factor. But how many nvme drives does the average person, or even a techie, buy a year? The % is not a factor at all. You aren't exactly going through nvme drives like a family goes through toilet paper.
