The 18tb red pros were $249.99 recently, same 7200 rpm but 5 year warranty. Doesn't make much sense shucking drives anymore these days.
Years ago Seagate got the reputation of having a lot of failures, so a lot of people still won't buy them no matter how good of a deal it might be.
Good price, but I really want a 20GB+ at this $/GB

5400 RPM. Is this a better deal than $200 for a recertified drive from serverpartsdeals? Those are 7200rpm

Depends on your needs. If you don't mind more noise, prefer a faster drive, and are planning to remove the drive from the enclosure the enterprise/datacenter WD drives from server part deal would be a better price point. If you want something quieter, don't need the increase performance, and might have a use for the external enclosure, then this option might be better for you.

I can say the WD enterprise drives tend to run cooler since they have helium instead of air, even if they are spinning at a higher RPM. However, the noise is definitely more apparent in the enterprise/datacenter drives when spinning up and down.

i'm pretty sure these are 7200RPM drives if you look up the spec sheet of the underlying drive inside them

Had an 8tb easystore and one day it tipped over by accident. The drive failed completely. Lost all my data. These are very top heavy and fall over pretty easy so be careful.

Any real reason why this is getting more votes then the Seagate 14tb at 190 = $13.57 per tb

This is 18 at 250 = $13.89 per tb

Your paying more per tb here for this deal vs the other one,
