Holding off for the 60 TB version
I'm only up to 40TB of porn. I bow to your superior collection.
I'm holding for 100tb so I can put my collection into 1 hard drive instead of need 5 of these

I may have to jump on this deal. Amazon and WD are taking forever to ship the 18TB pros I ordered from them.

60TB? Lame. You can get a portable 128TB on aliexpress right now for $22.

I saw a video of shucking one, it was just a 16GB memory card with the firmware hacked. I really want one just to see how it behaves with large files, and to have as a memento, but it's not worth $22 for that.

Does anyone here know if there is a cheaper DYI option? Maybe build a box that has 10 drives around 10gb to reach 100gb? Thanks

This is about $13.88 per tb, which is a pretty decent price. If you really want cheaper, used drives can be had cheaper but have some caveats. Anything with multiple drives will cost you more unless you already have a raid setup, NAS enclosures are pricey.

WD (and Amazon) accidentally shipped 8TB drives in the 18TB boxes so had to pull them. Supposed to ship the correct 18TB next week.

I use OpenMediaVault and it works great. I run Plex on it. I have 4 6TB drives in RAID. I bought them off eBay used. I can have 1 fail and be fine. I also have a backup nas that I sync monthly with similar drives.

Although I recently went to build one for a friend and Docker install has changed and I can't figure it out.
