Supports one mesh with a TP-Link router, a cheap way to extend the network and provide a little extra coverage to a room that has low signal bars. This is a really low end extender though so dont expect speeds over 100-200Mbps, which is plenty for just about anyone doing anything.

From my limited and 5-years-ago experience-- it claims to work under one SSID, then it sort of works for a few hours, then you get frustrated with the admin interface, then you slam dunk it into the trash can.

Yes to the both above, this is just an extender it will work with any existing wifi router or gateway. It can be easily setup, it only supports security protocol up to WPA2 though.



Not really I have one setup in a basement corner to provide a wireless bridge to a international TV service streamer box, cause the box they provided only has wifi B+G+N and its cheap. I also lowered its wireless coverage from the coverage menu to medium so it does not overlap with any coverage outside that room so items dont accidentally roam to it that I want to have more bandwidth.



Yep very common, I have my gaming desktop setup with a wireless card and am on it daily. USB adapters are cheap and easy to install, internal cards are in some cases even cheaper just require you to crack open the case. My wifi came on my motherboard.



Yes this clones the SSID you want to extend the range.

Will this work with the Tmobile home internet 5G? I haven't been able to get the Tplink I have to connect to it. It's at least 5yrs old, but worked fine with the Comcast Gateway. There isn't a WAP3 button on my Tmobile gateway like the Comcast one

do folks still install wifi cards to desktops? what about usb wifi?

because if not, i need something to connect to a basement computer.

I have this exact model for almost 3 years. It has been great and with their app it's too easy to install. Works with my 5G, fiber internet for those asking. But not in the US tho.

Yes its only for TP-Link routers, does not support other brands for the onemesh feature, but the device still works with other router brands just has a different setup.
