Unfortunately Samsung won't do price adjustments for EPP purchases, so if you got this deal last week for 229.99, you'll need to rebuy at this new price and return the original order.

Any thoughts about this in a handheld like the ROG Ally (I have the 90-degree adapter to allow a 2280 NVME)? My concern is heat - in a handheld there's not too much airflow and a heatsink won't fit. I've been thinking about a gen3, but don't know if there will be many 4TB gen 3 deals.

Awesome. Was able to combine it with the Chase 20% and an additional 3% from another CB site.

Note that the 20% won't stack with the Chase Freedom PayPal 5% as part of the terms state:

I also ran into issues with only getting $224.99 instead of $199.99 with my .edu email so when I click on savings, it shows -$95 promotional discount and -$25 education savings so I signed up with my work email and logged in with that account and I got -$50 workplace savings and brought the price down to $199.99 so if you got the same issue as me, register for an account with your work email address and try again to see if you qualify for workplace savings of -$50.

On top of bringing the price down to $199.99, chase has 15% cash back and 20% cash back, the chase freedom flex give you only 15% whereas the chase freedom is the one that gives 20% cash back.

Stack another 10% cash back from browser extension of cash back website:

Total: $199.99 - $40 chase freedom - $20 cash back browser extension = $140 + $17.25 tax - 1% cash back from chase freedom for the total of $217.24 ($2.17) = $155.07

Thanks OP. Paid $212.49. Will get $40 back from Chase Offer (20%) and then another $20 cashback from CB website (10%). $152.49 all in.

Now just figuring out if I want a 2nd one for the same price for my PS5. Which I barely use. laugh out loud

Not true actually. Just did it myself by talking to them through Support Chat. Bought when it was $223.99 EPP and got a confirmation of a refund for $24 with it now being $199.99 EPP.

Got CB from Chase as well during the first purchase, so already got that, plus this refund now on top of it. Roughly $160 for the drive.
