I have the 100 ft kit but did a lot of research beforehand. The power supply included in the kits will only allow for the max of 150 feet. If you attempt to chain additional strings, the lights will flicker or not even light up from what I've read. Solution is to buy multiple kits and plug them into separate outlets and use the app to sync the different kits so they behave as one.

I own 30 different Govee products and I love them all and I love the company and their customer service is second to none. Govee hosts their own products on Amazon and works with Amazon. That's why the prices are the same but they are not always exactly the same. If you plan on buying more Govee products in the future, or you think you might, you won't get rewards points buying on Amazon but you will from their website FYI

great way to identify your house as the one containing the most scammable residents on the block, and negatively impact local wildlife while you're at it.
Jokes on you, red is a christmasy color and red light is invisible to most wildlife. My deco lights are less disruptive to the environment than your porch lights.

How would these look if I put them on the edge of a porch overhang, facing down, where there is no nearby wall for the light cones to reflect off of?

For folks considering the "Pro" version, they do a proper warm white... But come at the disadvantage of having fewer lights per length. Consequently, the 'cones' of light overlap a fair bit less than the regular ones where they're more seamless in action.

The warm white on these is passable but not perfect like ones that have proper RGBICWW ICs, and you can tell that there is some color mixing going on if you stand up closer to the lights at certain angles.

I don't use them for warm white light, I got these for lighting the house up with patterns on holidays, to show my support for local sports teams with their colors and such... And these are wonderful for the price!

2 x 150 ft strings starting at / plugged in at one point and going in opposite directions and they're just amazing. You can group them in the app (same group control though depends on you being in Bluetooth range), and in the different click to run automations you can set them up to turn on and do different actions simultaneously via wifi (and thus remotely).

This guy had a great comparison of the many options talked about in this thread (eufy as well) and more:

All the light shown in the picture is total 150 ft ? Asking since I have similar requirement for my home and was thinking how much is enough. Bought 150 and 100 each
It was about 200 ft in total. I bought a 150 and a 100 but ended up with 3 strands leftover

I need to do 2 levels. Each probably needs around 27'

Better to get 50' or 100'?

1 is the end of my 100' run so there is nothing there
2 and 3 I created a splice using some 18 gauge three strand wire, some heat shrink butt connectors, and a heat gun. I can provide more details on this if needed
It'll be great because a lot of homes have a similar structure including mine and I am not that skillful in cutting and splicing.

My soffit is angled. Do you think if it'll still work?

3 or 4 inches is your best bet depending on what your house exterior is and how the lights will reflect. i have brick and stucco and went with 3 inches. Use painters tape to temporarily hang a couple lights up at different distances to see what you like best
Would they also work on angled soffit instead of flat?

I bound this 2 weeks back for 450$ and love it. Only caution is that install with extra clamps. Do not trust the adhesive (unlike advertised) to hold more than 2 hours Smilie .
Stupid Amazon not doing price adjustment; so doing return and repurchase now.
This is fulfilled by Amazon, so they can't do adjustment. They can only do adjustment on products that they sell and fulfill. So you have better luck reaching out to the seller(Govee) on Amazon. I'm sure they will adjust for you. They would rather do that than have you purchase and return.

Thanks for the link but I have flat metal with small holes on the underside of where the roof line extends over the house and where the gutter begins.
The hooks won't do me any good, but maybe I can search for other adhesive options that will hold the lights and wires in place.

Put up two 100 ft set on my two story house the last few days. Rented a lift from Home Depot and it made the high spots way less sketchy.

I thought about making splices but decided it would be better to keep it all intact. Good luck guys! Your neighbors will see you putting them up and order them too.
