Do motor buy this online from places like Amazon
You will want to buy this saw from your local stores... because you will not want to pay to return it when you realize it's flaws.. Even Amazon charges big bucks for return shipping on this.
Look for things not flat, or true. Then run the motor in a few 2 minute intervals to break brushes in. If it still sparks really bad, or gets hotter that 120f on housing after 3 runs, return it.
This saw was wayyyyyy overhyped by youtubers.

Time will tell, but it seems hard to beat at this price. My old Skilsaw has a horrible fence, dare I say almost unusable. This I'm guessing will be light years ahead of my old one I use all the time, even if it's not perfect. For a weekend warrior, I'm hoping it fits the bill.
Your point is valid though, it's no Dewalt quality but that reflects in the price.

Everything seems to be square a first glance, will look closer in the coming weeks. I can always take it back to Walmart. Thanks for the tips.

Make sure table is flat as well... but, then again, I haven't seen a flat jobsite saw table (at any price) in years.
