whoa what the heck? 17 inch laptop? that has some good uses for CAD word processing spreadsheets and such , even a "lower powered" computer can be quite useful with numpad and big screen.

i hadn't bought a laptop in a long time, picked up a lenovo ideapad and was blown away by the smooth typing action and low key travel distance

The processor is probably the best thing about this computer. 2 performance cores @ 4.4GHz and 4 efficiency cores.

I thought the same thing. The last time I purchased a laptop I went against the naysayers on Slickdeals and bought it anyway. I have no regrets with that purchase. I'm thinking some people on Slickdeals are too picky.

The i3 1215u is a quite decent cpu. 2 performance cores with great single core performance ad it also has 4 efficiency cores equivalent to an 7th gen i5 cpu.
If you are not gaming or using very intensive cpu software, this i3 is more than enough.

Anyone got the laptop yet? Please confirm the CPU is indeed Intel Core i3-1215U? Office Depot detailed specs probably not accurate, listing memory as 16GB, instead of 8GB. As long as the CPU is Intel Core i3-1215U, I'll get it. Thanks
