How does the picture quality compare to the c2? I missed the c1 picture quality when I went to the old g7 monitors. Curious about what the new Neo is like. Unfortunately, I will hold off for a year or 2 to see how the oled monitors do.

I am currently using Triples G7 for sim racing.
Personally, I think the c2 is king if picture quality is your priority. I haven't seen anything that quite matches the contrast of the Sony or LG OLEDs. Not to mention they don't have a matte coating on them.

If you regularly play twitchy first person shooters though I can feel the difference dropping from 240hz down to 120hz. Just enough that I always prefer my g8 over the c2 for those games.

VA panels are slow and have worse viewing angles than IPS. To compensate, VA monitor manufacturers use tricks to increase speeds and compensate for viewing angles. I know it is hard to find a good IPS monitor without backlight bleed but I still prefer IPS over VA (of course OLED is better than both).

I don't recommend this monitor in a multi monitor setup. VA panels dont give the best viewing angles. And few will be able to play games at 4k at that high refresh rate. I saw it at a store and liked the gigabyte m32u I had better.

Saw one of these at my local Microcenter. Coming from OLED, I simply cannot go back to any other display tech. Even though I got the G7 for $350 as I mentioned in previous posts, think I'll either be selling or returning.

Contrast was lacking, viewing angles sucked & colors looked washed out. Unfortunate..

VA panel
It's easily the best VA panel out there. Has response times that rival TN panels. This panel is proof that VAN can offer am outstanding experience. Do NOT hold that against it.

Hold things like scanlines against it though.

Not this panel. It has the best VA panel in terms of response times. Rivals those of TN. Don't believe me? See Hardware unboxed review of this and the G7. I have the G65 and it is true. Excellent VA panel and no smearing.

People see VA and just start reciting the brochure... they have no idea what they are talking about.

I bought this monitor when it came out. The flickering during gaming was TERRIBLE. There was no fix like there was for my G7 at the time. Does anyone know if they fixed the G8 flicker? If not, I'd stay away. Irritated the crap out of me.

What flickering? Never seen it when using it for my 14" MBP, M1 Mini, and PS5 at 120 Hz.

I had screen flicker when using at 240hz with my 7950x/4090. No fix. The G7 did the same, but there was a firmware update and setting change that fixed that one. I had to return my G8.
