I am selling my 2023 Lenovo Legion 5 in favor of a 2022 g14 with 6700s. The Lenovo runs cooler, for sure, but it's almost 1.5 lbs. heavier. And its battery is about 2 hours less than the G14. And G-helper makes heat and power management a cinch on the Asus, while with the Lenovo you're stuck with Vantage.

I spent waaaaaay longer than I should have deciding between this and the Legion 14" over Thanksgiving. Ultimately I went with the Legion, based primarily on this comparison [youtube.com]. The lower heat & noise was the biggest differentiator for me, with the better screen a small factor as well. This other review [youtube.com] leaned the other way, but the things that bothered them (e.g., worse sound quality) weren't big deals to me.

I mean it's a trade off, legion is 5.25lb vs this 3.4lb, if you don't care the weight. Legion is definitely better.

Legion also apparently does not have g sync or freesync. I plan to use the g14 for a variety of things including games, writing up docs, and video editing. Decided I'd rather have the non-glossy screen of the g14 since I'll be doing a decent amount of work in an office setting.

The Legion he's linking to is the 14" variant with OLED that's 3.85lb, so the weight is close to the G14.

I went with the G14 since the Legion screen is glossy with no variable sync.
