The 15" with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage for $1449 is the sweet spot deal right now. Also at Best Buy.

Open box for $782 is even sweeter if you have one near you. I bought my 2020 M1 MBA in December 2020 for about the same price. Came with the original box and charger, was in mint condition but listed as fair, 2 battery cycles used, and still had over 11 months of Apple warranty left.

I am watching the price of these for months and more than 50% of time they were for this price. This is not a deal anymore, just the base price of this model.

We often see the original m1 MacBook air on here for $750, and it's worth comparing the two.

Magsafe would probably sway me towards the m2, though.

it's for my wife. she doesn't use it for much more than browsing and some light productivity stuff.

i did get a chance to experience both and the 15" just felt better. but now I'm wondering if that extra expense makes sense.
