Ya, I did that too until the interlock. The inverters are better with fuel and keep, keep constant hertz and have low thd. Takes all the worries out of typical generators....

Got this same model last December 16th for $484.17. After the first run for an hour it wouldn't start up. Tried a bunch of things to get it going but it would run for 10 seconds at higher than normal rpms and then shut down. Called their support number and was on hold for one hour until I reached someone. She was very helpful and engaged another team to help diagnose it over the phone. She thought it was the carburetor and I thought it was the engine controller which was integrated into the inverter board. I was able to get her to send both parts and then she emailed me video instructions on replacing each part. I tried the carburetor replacement, which didn't take very long, and the behavior was the same. Then I replaced the inverter board, which was a much bigger task labor wise. As soon as the new inverter board was in place it ran great. I've used it on my transfer switch for a few power outages and I run it monthly to keep the carburetor clean. So far it has been reliable after that initial issue.

half ass way to protect the neutral, but they did do it correctly surprisingly. I would tape it better and use a better tape or cut it and cap it.

Hey, OP--from the product page: "5000 running watts."

I thought 3500 running watts was pretty low for a 6250 watt genny.

For those talking about converting to floating neutral. Wouldn't this only be necessary if using the 2 120v GFCI protected outlets? My understanding is that the 30a twist lock one is not GFCI, so not really necessary if going into a interlock kit / panel, but maybe I'm misinformed. I thought you only needed to float neutral if the entire generator panel is protected by GFCI..
