Slim 5 16's screen isn't that great but 14 has Oled 400 nits vs this one is wqxga 500 nits. If you work outside in sunny or bright weather, get this one otherwise people prefer OLEDs for color fidelity. 400 nits is a decent enough brightness although i prefer atleast 500 nits.
This one is a bit more 'gamey' looking than slim 5 if you travel a lot & it matters.

- They are notorious for light bleed. All of the units had this to one degree or another but did not bother me too much.
- Speaker vibration on some units. Two units I used had bad speaker vibration when listening to voices in Teams Calls. The music listening was not bad but voices would create horrible buzzing that made it difficult to hear clearly. Apparently this could be fixed with electrical tape.
- One unit had a stuck pixel in the middle of the display. Couldn't ignore it.
Other than that, the units all performed admirably for speed /performance testing. And let's face it, you would be using this type of system for gaming. The main reason I purchased it was because I like to game on the go, but I wanted a system that I could use for work too. When you disable the 4060 and keep it in efficiency mode, I could run the system for hours without needing a charge. My surface pro would only last for a couple of hours.
All in all, it's a great little laptop.
Can't go wrong with either device, this one is brighter/better screen, but I've been happy with the other one if you guys wanna save $250, if it's still on sale. Everything else about them seems the same
