$300 is definitely a good price but I did purchase exact model + installation from BestBuy during Covid for $139. So there could be lower if anyone willing to Hodl

I have had both the Viper and this one. They both drain the battery.
Don't know what yall talking about i have had this kit on two different cars and never once had a battery problem. You might want to go back to the "kid" that installed it and have him check his wiring, something is definitely not right. Btw used to work at BB and not every tech has the same skill level, ask for master installer next time.

how does the Free Installation work?
You should have a place when ordering that asks you if you want it installed. Then they will tell you the next availability date for your location. Not all best bys do installs.

Just make sure everything is on your order BEFORE you pay

None are cheaper than this remote starter for the millions of us who do not have a Telsa.
I hope you were just being cheeky. Guess I am a Poe's Law victim if so. But when you doubled down I thought you might be expecting us all to trade our vehicles in. Teslas have cons as well as pros. They aren't for all of us. I do not see their prices falling low enough for my tastes, even with incentives. Glad you love yours.
many Tesla owners have their own headache with batteries already, they don't have to worry about anything else.

I got it for 250 last Dec. Free installation was a breeze but was a long waitlist to get it fitted. Installed on a 2019 RAV 4 so have the same issue with the "hand off" not working so it shuts off when opening the door. Looking to install on my Lexus RX but I can wait for a better price than this.

Anyone know if there is an issue installing on a Lexus that requires a stupid $160 a year subscription for mobile remote start?

Ditto. Have had it on my Altima push-button, and an older Acura key start. Never had an issue draining the battery. That's an installation error.

Is it worthwhile to travel for an hour and a half, and how much time will they need to fix this once I arrive?

Can you be more specific about what you're talking about?

Fix what?

Depends on the care but count on 3 hours and if it's less then you'll be happy.

I had one that took 2 hours and one that took 3 hours.

half hour drive isn't that bad. I had to drive 1 hour for one install

I have this system installed a year ago. Not at all pleased. Frown Worked ok initially.
My displeasures:
  1. As soon as you open the door it shuts the engine down.
  2. Mobile app control comes with subscription (Free 30-Day Trial) | basic plan $6/month, Ultimate is only $50 /month
I didn't go with the subscription and now my system doesn't even work.

false.
I leave my car at the airport for a month at a time and had this installed at bestbuy 2 years ago.
can't speak for viper but a normal sedan is fine for a month with his.
maybe he op has a Toyota echo with a battery from a lawnmower but a normal car works just fine.
