Only 8gb is soldered, you cam upgrade the other 8 to a 32 for a total of 40gb
According to all the reviews, the Best Buy listing is wrong. All 2023 models have 16GB soldered and not 8GB. So this has one 16gb soldered ddr5 stick and one open ddr5 slot. So 32gb is super easy and will be fully dual channel.

In for one open box-excellent for $871!! 60% cheaper than the 4070 version I ordered two days ago, with only 10%-12% loss of total gaming performance. Excellent deal, thank you and repped.

Edit: 4070 60% more expensive than 4060 variant open box (at $1,400 vs $871 or $529 more).

Never again will I purchase an ASUS laptop. The ROG especially are known for charging issues (look at reddit, check out northridge fix videos on youtube, etc) and the last one I had overheated all the time, even when sitting on a cooling base. I had to send it off to northridge fix who replaced a part but the battery was ruined, the machine still overheated constantly, and was just in general, not a great machine. I do like their PC motherboards though.
Had 3 (2 desktops, one laptop) asus motherboards go bad on me. One laptop that I RMAed for this they sent back with NO SCREWS holding it in place so it was just flopping around in the chassis, they would not send screws to me and told me I had to send it back again in my dime if I wanted them back.

People will say just bad luck etc. but after 3 times I question that, especially when alot of my friends had similar issues and more than average people complain about them on various forums more so than any pc manufacturer I've seen.

Really hope Lenovo or someone steps up with a worthy 14 inch competitor to these. It's a pity razer (even worse) and asus are the only ones really trying in this realm.

If the 4070 was $1400, the 4060 is 38% cheaper. Still a great deal. Just FYI.

4060 imo. Same vram, relatively close performance for 1/3 less money.

Sorry I was looking upwards - 60% more expensive than the 4060 model, not 60% cheaper than the 4070. Thanks Smilie

My laptop 4060 handles 1440p really well. This is a good deal, albeit small screen

This or 17inch LG gram for 999 at Costco for everyday use? I like the bigger screen for LG but this machine is nicer

I have an A15 Tuf 4050 from Asus on the way for $980 including taxes.

Tempted to pull the trigger on this instead but the white would be difficult with my dog. Have a feeling it would be covered in black lab hair
You can, pretty often, get the f15 with a 4070 for the same price you paid for the 4050. I would definitely return this a15 and wait on the f15 or get this g14, which is o a whole different category.

Are you going to carry it around much? A 14" and 17" are drastically different as far as portability.

is it worth upgrading from 2022 6700S?
I used to have the 2060mq before 6700s and liked the nvidia experience tbh.
No a huge fan of adrenaline.
