Height is 22" + TV Height of 48", divided by 2 = 35" viewing height.which is very close to eye level sitting in my lazyboy.
This! Not that hard to make sure a stand is sturdy enough to handle the weight.
The center of the screen for a TV should ideally be at eye level. Most people place TV's way too high when wall mounting.

The U8K 100" is still unavailable but the price changed from $4k to $3k. Makes me wonder if they'll have it listed for that when it's restocked.

i have the 98 TCL S5 and am very happy with it. i haven't seen the Hisense U7 but don't believe tech specs alone are enough to say it is better. on the AVS forums this S5 outperforms the Q series with FALD dimming speculation is too much info to overload processor.
"Just a theory. On the QM8 TCL has focused all their attention on perfect, near-OLED blacks with no blooming. Hence, added too many dimming zones. The processor simply cannot focus on controlling all those dimming zones as well as upscaling. On the S5 the processor can focus 90% on upscaling. I would not mind a little raised black in some scenes, but better upscaling. The same goes for blooming. I don't mind a little blooming. TCL has drastically failed the QM8 trying to do ONE thing well."
Binstaller on Youtube also ranked the S5 S tier for price to performance. really looking forward to someone comparing both S5 and U7 side by side but i don't expect a night/day difference.

I have mine set for install on Wednesday. Will be a pain to have them pick up this one and bring the U8K instead later but I'd probably do it. Just glad the mounting points are at roughly the same spot (about an inch difference) so it'll be a simple swap that way.
