Tip: If you buy from Best Buy- add the plus membership to your order for $50. It'll extend your return period from 15 days to 60 for peace of mind in case the U8K comes back on sale or if you decide you just don't like it. You can cancel the membership within 60 days of purchasing it for a full refund.

They're offering free installation/wall mounting for these. Imagine that is useful w/ a TV this big!

If putting on a stand, you may want to check max weight supported. The 98" is around 125lbs and the 100" is around 138lbs.

I know it sounds strange, but as light as these tvs are you can just carry them up the garage as need be, they are like ....let me see....130 pounds, just need two people about 6 ft tall or more to make it easier but the weight is no issue as in the delivery truck isn't needed for weight.

Has anyone found a picture of the Hisense input panel (HDMI/etc) yet? I can't find anything on a quick Google search and nothing on Hisense's site. I want to make sure I get cables to run through the wall before it's wall mounted, but need to know if I'm going to need right angle adapters, etc...

I think the picture should have been taken from the middle of the room at not that angle. The HighSense looks much better but I have a feeling the lighting in the room. has something to do with that.

I'm a little worried about the person saying the Hisense looks darker than the TCL even though it's supposed to be brighter.

With those people with the 100u8k, they did a lot adjusting of the settings to get to a proper picture. It appears from the TCL is a better picture out of the box. A common complaint was the HDR mode was too dim, but again was fixed with adjusting the settings.

AVsforum.com has a lot of good detail about the 100u8k and I assume the settings may be close to those needed on the 100u76n.

The U8K 100" is still unavailable but the price changed from $4k to $3k. Makes me wonder if they'll have it listed for that when it's restocked.

Another 100u76n review on Avsforum.com. Review feels the TV is bright enough.

I bought the TCL and mounted it myself (well with the help of a friend because the thing is massive) on the wall in my basement. I am by no means a PQ snob but I think it looks great. Only negative I have seen is some minor blurring while watching basketball, I think changing some picture setting may have helped, however. Movies look great and it was a treat watching the AFC/NFC championship games on a massive screen in my own house. So far I would recommend it. I had to take the TV out of the box to barely fit it through my basement bulkhead, I honestly don't think it would have fit if it were 100" versus 98"
