With that said, you also need to look at the amount of recording vs. card size. A quick google says 10GB/day so you're getting about 1.5 months per card write (or about 8 card writes per year) so realistically even if the write #s are two orders of magnitude higher that card will still last several years. And even that assumes 24/7 recording not motion or audio activated.

I was not able to retrieve anything the data was completely corrupted when I tried different SD cards retrieval softwares all of them said that the data was raw. It also would see the card as 145 gigs instead of the 512.
Wow, that sucks! All the more reason I set up an automated backup on my phone with SyncThing.
