$10 cheaper than recent AAAWave deal.

Best Buy will price match if you have a MicroCenter in your area.

Considering AMD just released the 5700x3D for $250 which is less powerful than this chip then I think you're going to be waiting quite a while longer.
By 10 dollars. My point is they're certainly not going to price the 5800X3D under the 5700X3D, and considering the 5700X3D is brand new it's highly unlikely to go under $200 itself in the next few months.
waiting for 199 price tag.. .its a 2 years old chip

Amd is envious of NVIDIA looks like we will have a HARD FALL CRASH of tech when consumers say FK U. Supposedly with Intel getting into foundry perhaps the subsidy will hit the consumer by 2031. For right now, keep pushing for those raises at work, because inflation will not lead to disinflation of price even with a recession.

This chip is a bit old and AM4 is dead. The regular 7700X beats it in most tests and by the end of the year Zen 5 (the 9600X/9700X) will destroy it. It should be $200 by now.

I've always had my eye on this for an upgrade to a b450/3600x system I built my son 4 years ago.

With the 7700x/b650/32g ddr5 combo for $350-370 at microcenter, this doesn't make sense.

This is where I'm at as well.. I absolutely love love my AM4 set up, and in my head I can justify $300 on going from 3700x to 5800x3d (add $30 or so for non-Wraith cooler).. but if I take a step back the economics just don't make sense.

For my personal use case I would need to max out RAM on said AM5 combo which probably takes me past $500.. so that might make the decision for me.
