Edit (3/21): Just dropped to $19.97.

YMMV. The .97 price tag indicates it is clearance markdown from the store manager.

Select Costco Warehouse Stores have this Extreme 50 FT AWG 12/3 SJEOOW extension cord on clearance price now - $29.97 (was $39.99 on sale). See my previous post.

Best flexible extension cord (basically the US Wire brand, made in the USA), SJEOOW. Check photos for details. Has one lighted plug-in end.

If you just want a cheap (lower quality, less flexible) extension cord, this is NOT for you. There are plenty of cheap SJTW cords out there. Select Costco stores carry a two-pack Prime Wire 30 ft SJTW extension cords for $24.99 at my store (see this post posted by SharkStyle).

REFERENCE: https://www.costco.com/warehouse-...ogId=10701

SJEOOW indicates:
SJ - Service Junior rated at 300 VAC
E - Thermoplastic Elastomer
OO - Oil-resistant insulation and outer jacket
W - Weather-resistant for outdoor use

If you're using a privacy extension in your browser, a lot of the domains that SD uses for their affiliate links have problems on their networks (rouge links) and those domains get added to the privacy block list. Sometimes they get removed in 24 hours, sometimes they get removed after weeks.

If you use a privacy extension that warns of every tracking domain, automatically removes tracking/affiliate links out of URLs, etc, you'll see kqzyfj.com blocked all the time.
The husky is an SJTW cable, as noted by OP those are less expensive. The husky is more durable, but less flexible. Also this cable is oil and gasoline resistant.

Tons of these around me at multiple Costco at this price, I'm hoping they drop the price again.

Link doesn't work. I'm using a browser privacy extension because I don't want the illuminati to know that I'm looking at extensions cords.

I got a 100' 12/3, and I need a sturdy reel for it. The ones I've seen cost well over $100. If anyone knows of a *high-quality* good deal for a 100 ft. cord, please pass it along. ty

It has been at this price at my Costco for weeks and they still have many left. They also have 2-pk 30ft yellow one at $29.99 right next to it. It seems more people are interested in the latter one.

Not knowing much about these different cables, I got the 50 ft yellow cable spindle last week.

Are the 2 yellow cables better or if this one in the deal better than the spindle? I think the spindle cable is also 12 gauge.

That's going to be very difficult to find. Just outfitted my garage with reels for air and power. Air was much cheaper (went with Cox reels) and the power reel was close to $400. Couldn't find anything cheaper and I looked for a while. Not saying future sales won't happen, though.

Some people have successfully hacked the air reels to take power cords but that's not something I was willing to do even though I'm very capable. Just wanted something that worked instead of jerry rigging things.

edit- For some reason I put 'automatic' in my head. You won't find automatic reels for that cost as far as I know. A manual reel though, DIY. Bucket and things. YouTube it. I purchased and installed automatic/power reels.

Is this cable OK for 24/7 365 days in Michigan outdoors to connect Patio String Lights?

I have a couple of these and really like them:

Quick Winder RAP-100 Electric Cord and Fiber Optic Cable Reel [amazon.com]

I think you're asking about a cord reel?

More than sufficient. Almost certainly overkill. The patio lights have a much lower requirement than this cord provides. You could get by with a less expensive cord, if you wished.

I use a wheeled Suncast hose reel from HD when went on sale, for my 100' 12/3.

Same because I don't really need this, already bought their 2pack of the yellow cables and the 50ft spindle one
Yeah, I got the 50' spindle a while back - good kit, but I'd rather have gotten this one instead because it's less bulky.

It's massive overkill for LEDs which draw hardly any power. You could run a few power tools off this cable.
