My 4 year old that doesn't eat red meat or eggs... the list goes on...
Non heme iron is not more toxic than heme iron. It's actually less toxic as it's less likely to be absorbed thereby less likely to lead to iron overdoses. Heme iron is the one associated with higher rates of cancer, heart disease and metabolic syndrome.
