So because the odd subpixel layout actually bothers most people to some degree, they must be mentally unstable? This might be the worst take on something I have ever seen and you must be a real judgemental prick about basically everything in your life. I think you might be the one on the spectrum, here.
I have this monitor and use it for work and gaming. It has been great. I read and write emails all day and the text has not been an issue for me. Gaming has been fantastic for games that support ultra wide screen. Red Dead Redemption 2 has been awesome as well as Cyberpunk 2077.
I reached out to Samsung chat and they hooked it up with an extra $50 coupon so got the monitor for $50 more off so $900. Definitely a slick deal!
I got this when it had the weird stacking EDU discount and coupon. Love the monitor. Looks great, colors are fantastic, and gaming is a treat. Only negative is watching movies, they tend to only fill the middle of the screen, leaving large black areas on both sides. But it's expected for a monitor this size so not an issue.

The math doesn't add up. $759+$540 savings = $1299 regular price. The Odyssey G9 OLED regular price is $1799; the regular non-OLED G9 had a regular price of $1349.
That had to be the regular Odyssey G9. It is also on sale now for $749.
i have been using this monitor since the last sale (around 900) and was wondering if anyone else had this issue. Sometimes the monitor will not wake up correctly from sleep. For instance, the pc is plugged in, the lights on the pc comes on, but then the monitor comes up with an error that says no device is connected so it will go in standby mode. The only way to get it to work is to either restart the computer while unplugging and plugging in the dp cable. or sometimes, connect a second monitor, have the second monitor open windows from sleep (sometimes takes a few minutes) then proceed to disconnect and connect the monitor through the display options. Is this something that can happen or is this one defective? I'm still within the 15 day period but seems like samsung will not replace, I can only return.
I've had similar occur. Having a second monitor plugged in seems to negate the issue.

My understanding is an HDMI2.1 is the absolute best for connection. true?
also, have a Dell 3011 I'd like to use when doing detailed color correction. What is best connector type for that?
Would a dock help me?
