C3 no question. LG has been in the game longer and makes a more reliable OLED, with better burn in mitigation. Dolby Vision is also a substantial upgrade once you have it (former Samsung owner here)
You lose Dolby vision with Samsung but it's not a big deal and hardly noticeable. HDR10 looks better to me than Dolby vision anyways. In my opinion HDR10 is more vibrant, brighter etc.
The software of lg is a little nicer but tizen works fine and you can always hook up an Apple TV for software.
I currently have the s89c and it's amazing.
I'm a separate note I also ordered the 100 inch U8k Hisense mini led.
The Samsung has slightly better contrast and more accurate colors.
But the 100 inch Hisense screen and its immersion is absolutely worth keeping. The Hisense is brighter too. Never thought I'd buy and keep a Hisense TV.
If it wasn't for the 100inch screen I definitely keep the Samsung s89c and be very happy.

Apple & Samsung - Scratch each other's back for a few pennies in the chips prices (HDDVD vs BlueRay rivalry days).
It's been 3 years Dave!
I followed l337fool's instructions and pretty happy with it however certain HDR content is so dark. For example Ozark on Netflix or TLOU2 on PS5 is so dark that I had to turn on constract enhancer to low to make it watchable. All energy saving settings are off.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Game mode likely disables most of the processing so that you can get low latency.
So you have to pick you poison.

Been gaming on a 48" C1 since 2020 or so. Been a fantastic experience and I can't go back. Have to keep earning money to keep up this lifestyle.
As goofy as the tiny nightstand with a giant TV on it.

That goes for any TV today! Only Sony oleds do the best job upscaling of older/SD content. Rest of the sets make dvd's look like cartoons!
I mean, if that's your thing that's cool. You could do the same for a lot cheaper though.
1080 bluray have higer bitrates than most 4K streams.
I don't like using TV for upscaling. An apple tv or shield would do better upscaling than any tv you can buy today. But TVs have come a long way and some of them are really good,
Shield introduced AI upscaler 4-5 years ago. And now the same is being marketed as the biggest improvement in 2024. LGs.
