Which series was that?

Having had numerous TCL TVs I would absolutely stay away from the 4 series, the 5 series would be the lowest model I'd ever consider.

Two different 4 series developed awful dead spots, all of the 6 series TVs I've ever had work just fine.

The Sony A95L QD-OLED is widely regarded as the best there is on the market right now.
No more. LG G4 will be King this year.

Actually... it's $700 difference, but remember that at Costco the QN90C includes a 5 yr warranty. If going the QM8 route and concerned about longevity, keep in mind that a 5 yr warranty at BB is $495, a 4 year warranty (Asurion) at Amazon is $183, and a 4 yr warranty directly with Allstate/Squaretrade is $230.

I bought the 85 qn90C for $1750 after tax with 2 year + warranty.

we shall see.....until a TV is out tested and put through its paces we dont know

Seriously based on specs Vizio should have led the market with the Quantum X a few years ago
In testing and real world environments it had several flaws

They really just keep trading places every year tbh. LG has more features but i've always been a bigger fan of Sony colors. Tho anything is better than Samsung Colors at least.

Until MicroLED becomes a thing, Sony's flagship this year, which is a mini led, is gonna be as close as we ever get to OLED performance, with a non OLED TV. But like all their other flagship TV's, it's definitely not gonna be affordable!
MicroLEDs are availible to purchase if you have a spare $200k laying around lol

Trying to decide between this or the Hisense U8k. Leaning towards the Hisense because of low quality content looking a bit better. Any thoughts?

Quality? What does that mean? I just returned a 85X90L due to "quality" issues.

Looking to bite on QM8 but trying to weigh options on BB vs Amazon regarding warranties. Any recommendations? 4yr asurion seems to be least expensive but are ya getting what ya paid for with it?

The warranty at BB, IMO, is probably the best of the bunch, and they charge a premium since they cover OLED burn-in (even though it's less of a thing than it used to be) which you won't need with this TV. Also, with BB only having a 15 day return policy, I only purchase TVs from them during the Holidays, when they have an extended return period. If I was in the market for this TV, I would probably go with Amazon w/ warranty, or Walmart (they matched the Amazon $1698). Even though they charge $50 freight, with the Walmart/Allstate Protection (4 yrs @ $104 or 5 yrs @ $129) it still nets less than Amazon's price w/ warranty.

The Best Buy program is one of the best programs I have ever seen...I have had a couple of claims over the last 5-6 years. In both cases they gave me the full purchase price of the TV back...via Best Buy gift card...due to falling prices in TV's I was able to grab a bigger Tv for the same amount I paid 2-3 years before
