It has a hole for adding something.

Just strap it to something big
Plastic hole, can't trust.

i swear every flash drive is so slow writing.. fluctuates between KB to few MB and spikes to 40MB back down to 2MB etc. how do you prevent this.. Copying from docking station usb 3.1... do i need to plug directly into thunderbolt 4 to maximize?
There are at least a couple possibilities. One is the fact that many, many, MANY USB flash drives have utterly horrid small, random write speeds. I'm talking often less than 10 KB/s (that's Kilobytes per second). This makes performance terrible when writing many small files and/or using the drive with a journaled filesystem, such as NTFS or ext4. If either of these is the case, that may be your answer. However, the Samsung FIT Plus and BAR Plus are one of the few USB drives I've seen with normally good random writes. If you're talking about one of these drives, there's also another possibility.

Some flash-based drives (USB, MicroSD, and even SSD) seem to suffer from rapid performance degradation. I speculate this may be due to degradation of the data in NAND, making it harder for the controller to read. It tends to most impact reading older data but sometimes slows down writes as well. I have seen Samsung FIT/BAR Plus drives heavily impacted by this.

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a modern USB flash drive that I find satisfactory. It may be simpler just to use a good MicroSD card in a USB reader. The Samsung Pro Plus MicroSD cards, in the Samsung reader (which has a similar footprint to the FIT Plus), is a decent option.

Could also be the system in the car.

My car is very unoptimized for viewing the songs on my flash drive.
Even if I transfer it to the internal hdd.
