I don't think most people have problems playing one song. Sonos subs are filled with these comments and turns out to be network related. It's not only about the router there can also be interference in your building or other reasons.
Trust me if people could not play one song on these speakers they wouldn't sell and everyone would bash them

But apples whole HomeKit AirPlay ecosystem is beyond trash. It's gotten worse rather than better. It's frankly insane given their position and wealthy
I've had two sets of stereo HomePods and for the last year, despite different WiFi access points and routers, I can't get through a single song without them cutting out. A single HomePod usually works fine.
I finally disconnected them and switched to Klipsch Fives in my office and Nines in the living room. These can be had for $450 (Fives) and $1k (Nines) if you shop around - that's the pair, not each
I used to dream of filling my homes with $199 HomePods and now that it's here.... it's a huge no thanks
You do you tho
I wanted to like the HomeKit also but early adoption was extremely difficult with limited products. I went with SmartThings and Alexa but wish Apple would open up their comparability beyond HomeKit.
How do the speakers compare to their Amazon Echo equivalents?
Been waiting for a decent sale price. This is lowest i have seen.

It's your network. Let me guess you have multiple different brand routers and access points all with different specs, etc. trying to all work together. If you bought a new wi-Fi 6 or7 three-piece wireless mesh system from TP Link or one of the other good brands I guarantee you you wouldn't have a problem.
I've got wirelessly attached Sonos/ikea speakers and a HomePod mini all over my house. I've just never had issues like some people experience.
Two ubiquiti ac-lites wired to the switch (no mesh).
No problems with AirPlay to any of them or multiples of them at the same (all AirPlay 2).
Agreed 100%. Siri is one of the worst things Apple has shipped. Hope the overhaul rumors are true, Siri in current form is completely unreliable
