I believe this is the lowest price I've ever seen for this kit.

I've got some ryobi 4ah batteries. what's the story on using ryobi on ridgid, or ridgid on ryobi tools?? when I don't need the best, ryobi is a go to, and I've been really interested in the ridgid because of what seems like the best servicing/warranty support in the industry EEK!

You can buy adapters and they'll work fine. These all use the same type of either 18650 or 21700 lithium batteries (the same 3.7V batteries used in flashlights, electric cars, and laptops decades ago). As long as you match the battery voltage with the tool voltage, you're fine (ie: you don't want to use 18V batteries in a 12V tool). Also, 18V and 20V batteries/tools are the same thing. Some brands label them with the nominal voltage (18V) and some label them with the maximum voltage (20V), but they're the same thing. It's just a marketing tactic to label them as "20V", since it makes them appear more powerful than their "18V" competitors to the average consumer that doesn't know about electrical ratings.

This deal is probably better than any lately at Direct Tools. I'd hop on if I didn't already have 6.

Ridgid stuff is just a step up from Ryobi in the quality dept. It's just unfortunate you can't use the same charger. I have one of those Ridgid hybrid work fans and someday I'll actually get to use it, as soon as I can get it away from my wife.

Anyone have a zip where they're $69? They're 79 here, but shipping is free.

$69 deal was a one-day deal that ended yesterday.

Note this is a one-day-only "Special Buy of the Day" sale price. If you've been on the fence, I think now is the right time to buy. nod

It looks like the price has changed. I placed an order yesterday at $69 and just checked and they're now listed at $79
