Home Depot has the RIDGID 10 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw R4241 for $219 (normally $429). This is the one with the articulating arm (not the typical two bar slide mechanism).
Limited stock, but I was able to use Brickseek[brickseek.com] and found a few in my area (CT).

Huge 15.8 in. crosscut capacity in a highly portable miter saw. Military grade aluminum arm system with 8 bearings for super smooth action. Adjustment feature means you can adjust the sliding tension to your preference. 15 Amp motor with belt drive and electric brake for smooth and fast cutting. 60° right and 52° left miters with 1 hand release for quick miter changes. 48° left and right bevel with up front release and stops at the popular positions. The LED shadow line shows precisely where the cut will be eliminating guesswork and shows up in bright or dim lighting situations.
It's the exact same unit (in Ridgid orange) as the Delta Cruzer. Delta makes these robot saws for Ridgid, hence no LSA. If you have trouble finding reviews online, just look up the Cruzer.
Biggest complaint has been deflection at full extension and terrible dust collection. There's very passionate opinions on each.
Thanks for posting. Just a reminder for those interested, this saw does not have the Lifetime Warranty that most Ridgid tools have. This one only has a 5 year warranty coverage.
The LSA only applies to Ridgid products that are produced and marketed under license by Techtronic Industries (TTI). But the Ridgid brand, owned by Emerson, is much larger than what comes from TTI and has many different warranties depending on the product, like hand tools, plumbing tools, vacuums, and these Delta manufactured NEXT line of benchtop power tools.
Mega-updoots to you sir. Was planning to replace my ryobi hand-me-down at some point this summer. Thanks to you and SD email notifications. Shockingly my local HD had 1. When I followed the link, it was reg price, but once I put my zip in and selected my local store, there was the sale price in all it's glory. Happy Memorial Day.
This and the Delta variant have been out for several years and are regarded as an excellent zero rear clearance miter saw for the money. People say there is deflection at the extreme back slide but that is true for most sliders and cuts that require more precision can be done accurately by just being aware of what you're doing or by making the cut on a more appropriate saw.
This miter saw is heavy as F. It's like 50lbs or so, bought online and returned it to the store. My HD has like 2 more of these instore. For DIY and use it 1-2 times a year, I would recommend something lighter. I was planning to use these to cut a clean cut for gutter in 45 degrees and small 2x2 door trims. But at this point I would just use my Dremel to cut the gutter and circular saw for 2x2 door trims (only cut a few trims).
Thought it would be nice to have a miter saw in case I need it, but damn this peice is heavy as F.
I love this saw and it has held up well for me. It has always felt high quality and heavy duty compared to other saws I've used. My only complaint is how heavy the saw is on top of it being awkward to carry. I could easily see this being an issue for some.
As mentioned by others, the dust collection is horrible. I use it outside so it's not a big deal for me though. You can buy an aftermarket part for about $45 that is supposed to help the dust collection, but can't verify if it actually works.
I think because when you sign up for a new credit card, you can get bonuses of way more than $25. So why would you waste a credit card signup on this?
Because you can have up to 3 HD CC's and you can cancel anytime and you may not have anything else you need to purchase at this time. So take 3 minutes to fill out the app and save another $25. In my case, the cashier took an additional $25 off just because I asked. I knew from past experience, cashiers have some latitude in offering discounts to get sign-ups so I ended up with $50 off a $219 purchase but apparently this isn't the slickdeal way, I guess.

I'm returning the Cruzer. This is absolutely nuts, I will happily make this blue for orange trade and save a ton of green.

Why the thumbs down?
