If you are newer or just excited to spend some money for the holiday, this is a standard EPP/EDU price over the past few months, as this is the end of the model year. Don't get caught up in your spending emotions.
I have this monitor and I'll say two things - it's big. Like really big, so make sure you have space for it, and the second is that the out of the box colors are awful. You can download a profile from Rtings and do some searching for calibration videos on YouTube. With minor calibrating, it's amazing, but I was really disappointed at first.
You're right, perhaps I wasn't specific enough.
I'm sure that's true for the other Odyssey models, but the 43" in particular seems to have issues. You can find similar mixed sentiment in other Slickdeals posts about this monitor.
The picture quality is excellent but I was seeing trails with anything moving 60+ fps
Also…it's not like I have any incentive to hate on this monitor. I just felt strongly enough that I wanted to inform others about the somewhat misleading marketing.

I'm seeing $570. Anyone else getting this price? oh, duh...gotta log into epp I guess.
Typical Samsung website nonsense, but I'm not complaining. Had one in my cart, then went to log in to EDU, added another, and had 2 in my cart. One was $400.01 and the other was $380.01. Removed the more expensive one from cart, and was left with the other one at $380.01, which I bought.

Assuming that Acer was a 34" ultrawide, how does it compare neck/head movement wise? I have a 34" non curved ultra wide currently
yes 34 ultrawide was curved, the sammy only has tilt while the acer tilted and move up n down. Doesnt really need up n down since its so big, actually got more screen area from the ultrawide but im adjusting to it

I'm also seeing $380. Can also get 10% cb with a quick search.
