Buddy both of your points are simply false. I put together both of my hykens alone with literally 0 issue... just put together my 2nd last month .. Im 5'11 and this just isnt true. Headrest is a bit low but if u flip it upside down it fits like a glove ..... Y lie?

This thread is weird. I've used this thing for almost 3.5 years since WFH started. I put it together on my own quickly with zero problems. I still use it every day. The only problem I have found is that I tend to lean more to one side so that armrest is getting more worn than the other.

My ass isn't especially hard or sensitive and I love the seat. The mesh is absolutely the way and is way better than the fart-storing variety of cushion.

There is absolutely nothing that comes close in this price range. If you have a wide bottom or are super tall then maybe the Dexley is more suitable for you.

Mesh is the way when it comes to ergonomic productivity seating. "Gaming chairs" are scammy garbage.

Definitely possible to assemble solo. (I did)

Don't know why I'm the first to let you know that it is a neck rest not a head rest. (Also 5'9")

Best birthday present for myself at ~$90(few years back it had a working coupon) as it resolved back pain issues.

How old is your chair? It comes with a 7-year warranty.
Good reminder, I didn't think about that. I don't think I bought it at Staples...need to find receipt. Thanks Smilie

Not for everyone: If you have sensitive bottom, this chair will hurt you. I finally gave my chair away.
I have been using this for like 8 years.. Great chair and rock solid

How do you flip the headrest upside down?

Dammit. Bought this on Amazon for $169 and thought I got a deal. Had this chair for 4 years and was the best work chair I've ever had. No ass soreness that you normally get when sitting too long. Had to give it away cause I couldn't fit it in the cross country move. Definitely recommend this chair.

Here's a guide: https://imgur.com/gallery/staples...noob-XwE7F

If you need more explanation, there's YouTube videos and Instructables guides.

My only critiques on these instructions:

–Don't be a complete luddite and stab a screwdriver through the mesh. Use a proper right angle ratcheting screwdriver like a civilized person.

–Use blue Loctite (the one that comes in the red tube) on all of the bolts and screws on this chair, but especially the ones shown in this guide. They will loosen over time.

This thread is a great reminder that not everyone is the same. Some booties will love this chair, some will hate it. Won't know until you test it in store though - but it comes highly recommended by many due to it's comfort and durability. At least, for those that it fits well.

I picked this chair up after trying a few at Staples on the July 20th. Saw the price drop yesterday and they thankfully price matched it despite the 14 day return policy (they commented it was the 14th day so I was lucky, but I think they forgot that last month had 31 days...). Either way, at the time I had already price matched their website for another deal that had brought the red version of the chair to $180 (including the warranty). New deal? $150 - so, got $30 back.

Is the red worth $20? With a 7 year warranty on the chair... probably assuming it lives that lifespan?

I browsed around the site for a while and never got one (but I do use uBlock origin so that might be why I get no popup blockers) oh well, I already ordered a chair. thanks!
The "spin the wheel" popup probably didn't show up in my browser because I used a $15 discount a few months ago. When I switched to a different browser and refreshed the page a few times, the popup appeared. You might need to clear the browser history/cache. If you subscribed before, try subscribing with a different phone number and email to get a 16-digit discount code.

I've had this for 4 years now, and while it's held up really well, this thing is an uncomfortable piece of shit. Would not reccomend.

I'm 5'10, 200lbs, larger muscular build. I opted to get the larger Dexley. My fiance has the Hyken, which is noticeably smaller and less comfortable for me.

I've owned this for 3 years now and it's prob the best chair I've owned. Perfectly comfortable and forces me to have good posture. I definitely would say that this chair isn't for everyone though.

Owned this for 6 years, zero deterioration, still tight and tough material. Transported across the world by military lowest bidder movers with no issues.
I'm 5'10", headrest can barely touch my shoulders when it's in the lower position, upper position my head sits fine.
It is snug side to side, but I like that so I don't get lazy and try to sit on my foot (and destroy my knees) during long sessions gaming. Never any back pain.
Arm rests leave a little to be desired, as they are narrow, but i didnt feel like going to the bigger chair was the right choice for me.

Buy it! I would buy 3 more, but can't ship to me any longer.

Anyone used the warranty?

Do I work with the chair company or staples? Thrower boxes though

I got this chair 6 month back and the fabric attached to chair is coming off.
I got the staples extended warranty as well.
