Hoping these reach $20 by the end of the year.

I wouldn't recommend this. Tried it in my prior car and it had so many random disconnects it made it unreliable.

I purchased the AAwireless dongle https://www.amazon.com/AAWireless...B0B71XC7VG about 6 months ago for my S5 after reading about the issues with the MA1 and it has been rock solid so far. Takes ~10 seconds or so after turning on the car for Android Auto to come up automatically. You can have multiple phones paired to the device and can switch on the fly using the App or set a priority on which phone is connected. It is priced higher at $59 or so but happy that it just works and no disconnects.

I feel this way too. I bought this on Amazon under $50 and tried it in my car for about a week. The disconnects and slow startups were enough for me to prefer using a cord instead

Great deal. I got this the day it came out. Has worked great ever since, probably been about 2.5 years? Paid probably $80-90

Had one of these in a Ford vehicle we have. It is rock solid stable. Our brand new Lexus' built in wireless Android Auto is at best 60% stable.

Connects quickly, has been roasting in my car in TX for 2 years+

I bought same one from Target for $108.74 total 2 years ago after 2yr extended warranty.

$45 is OK, you can find it used for about $5-10 less. It does take a minute to boot up and strains your battery a bit, I couldn't bear the battery drain so I got an AI Box instead and only connect wirelessly when I need to.

It worked great for 1 year then it stopped connecting completely. When I contacted the Motorola helpdesk, they sent me a refurbished one for free. It's been great after that, no issues. Don't hesitate, Motorola support is rock solid.

I have one in my car and it has been rock solid. It auto-connects every time I get in the car without any issues.

These only lasted less than a year in my car and I went through 4 of them until I finally gave up. Just decides to randomly stop connecting to phone one day and decides it's done, even with resets and stuff. After the first, 2 I got under warranty and 1 I bought again.

Was yours exposed to heat? In extremely hot sun?

I live in the south so yes it gets hot inside the car in the summer but I tend to mostly use a sunshade but it should be made for hot environment inside cars regardless?
