PTFE teflon coating, don't do it, getting an air fryer for $35 isn't worth poisoning yourself or supporting companies that are willing to use this toxic stuff. Ninja air fryers use ceramic coating. Do your own research

I agree with this but couldn't you just use a liner?

Thanks. I see it's not noted in the Highlights section, found it once I opened up my details (on mobile).

I believe their non stick products are actually silicone based, not ptfe, definitely not Teflon.

PTFE coatings are fairly well researched. Making them and burning them are toxic. Normal use is fine. There is almost zero independent research on modern non stick ceramic coatings. Makes it hard to pick for me.

I have to give props to Gourmia on their warranty. I bought mine (8 qt, not lighted) a year ago today and the heating element went out a few days short of the year. I emailed them my receipt and the date code on the bottom of the machine. They offered to send a new replacement after having me send a photo of the cut power cord.

I used fryer pretty heavily over the year.

Use parchment paper liners. They are great and make cleanup a breeze. Just make sure you wait to put it in until the preheating is finished -- else it will get sucked up and burned on the heating element.

This was literally on sale last week-ish. The sale ended on the 27th, so not sure when it'll go on sale again. I bought one and so far, very happy. It was $39.99, and I'd say a better deal than Target. $5 for 2 more QTs is totally worth it for me.

Great deal, the start of a Chirstmas present and I applied my $15.00 gift card, my total was $21.54 out the door, thanks OP.

I've had this model for around a year. It's worked great, and it's by far the quietest one I've ever tried. You can barely hear it running.
